Proxies for TikTok: When a Singapore IP Helps, and How

TikTok differs from other social networks in one way: content, features and even shopping are tied to a region. The videos in your For You feed, whether TikTok Shop is open to you, who sees which ads — all of it depends on where TikTok thinks you are. That's why people working on the Singapore market look for Singapore proxies. This guide explains when a proxy really helps, when it doesn't, and how to set it up properly.

How does TikTok decide your region?

TikTok doesn't look at the IP alone. On a phone, the app relies on several signals at once: SIM and carrier information, the device's language and region settings, location, and the IP. In a browser (tiktok.com) there's no SIM, so the IP and browser settings carry most of the weight.

In practice:

Changing the IP on a phone usually doesn't change the region while the SIM is from another country.
In a browser, a profile with a Singapore IP and a Singapore time zone and language is seen as a user in Singapore.

When does a Singapore proxy help with TikTok?

Managing brand accounts for the Singapore market: logging in, replying to comments and posting from one consistent location.
Seeing content as viewers in Singapore do: trends, hashtags and what competitors are getting pushed in Singapore.
TikTok Shop Singapore: sellers see products, prices and ads exactly as buyers in Singapore do.
Checking TikTok ads aimed at Singapore users. See also proxies for ads.

When doesn't a proxy help?

Region "hacks" for more views: nothing guarantees a video gets pushed more just because the IP changed; TikTok ranks videos by how viewers respond.
Creating fake accounts: against TikTok's terms, and a proxy doesn't make it any safer.
The phone app with a foreign SIM: as above, the IP isn't the only signal.

Setting up TikTok in a browser with a proxy

Create a profile in an antidetect browser (GoLogin, AdsPower, Hidemyacc, GenLogin…) for each TikTok account — the steps are in adding a proxy to antidetect browsers.
Give the profile a Singapore 4G proxy and set the time zone and location from the IP (Asia/Singapore).
Set the browser language to suit the users you're targeting — English is widely used in Singapore.
Open tiktok.com, log in, and use that profile for that account from then on.
Check the IP, country and WebRTC leaks before working — see how to check a proxy.

What about phones?

You can set a Wi-Fi proxy on an iPhone or Android phone (see how to set up a proxy on a phone), but know the two limits: the proxy only applies to that Wi-Fi network, and the TikTok app still sees the phone's SIM. For work on the Singapore market, a browser with its own profile is usually more consistent.

One proxy for several TikTok accounts?

Profiles open at the same time on one proxy share one IP. If the accounts belong to one brand, that's normal. If they belong to different clients, give each client their own proxy. When running profiles in turn on one proxy, close one before rotating — each 65Proxy proxy can rotate at most once every 5 minutes.

Singapore 4G proxies from 65Proxy for TikTok

65Proxy sells 4G proxies on Singapore mobile networks: HTTP and SOCKS5, usable in any antidetect browser, rotation by link, 200GB per plan. Current prices: 1 day $4, 7 days $13, 1 month $40. See pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Will a proxy get my TikTok account banned?

Using a proxy isn't a violation in itself. Restrictions usually come from content, spammy behaviour or signs of fake accounts. What to avoid is one account logging in from several countries in a short time.

Are 4G IPs better than datacenter IPs for TikTok?

For logging in and managing accounts, yes: mobile IPs look more like real users than server IPs. The full comparison is in 4G vs residential vs datacenter proxies.

Can I go live on TikTok through a proxy?

Technically yes, but a livestream needs steady, high upload bandwidth, while a 4G proxy depends on the mobile signal and each plan includes 200GB. Try a short plan before relying on it for an important live.
